A Brunswick County, N.C. woman has died from H1N1, shortly after giving birth, according to health officials in North Carolina.

The woman, whose name was not released, delivered her baby and then died, said Fred Michael, who works with public health in North Carolina.

She is the first pregnant woman in Brunswick County to die from the illness.

One woman from Richland County, in South Carolina, died in October from H1N1.

Pregnant women can receive the swine flu vaccination, Michael said.

Women are asked to sign a consent form, since there is a slight risk from the preservative included in the vaccine.

Pregnant women are being urged to get vaccinated, since their immune systems make them more vulnerable to the sickness.

At least 16 people have died in South Carolina from swine flu.

Hospitals are clamping down on the flu by restricting visitors and asking people with flu-like symptoms not to visit patients in the hospital.

That is so sad.My heart goes out to the family and to that sweet newborn baby.I pray the baby is fine.I hope soon everyone will be vaccinated witht hat swine flu shot and this swine flu mess goes away.It is so scarry.I have kids and one thats not well and am so scared of them getting it.I will be so glad when this swine flu is over.Everything is getting bad and worse. Not just the swine flu, everyone is almost out of work now.Me and my husband has no job.Now I read the mill might not even open back up in 2 years and also lands end is shutting down this wekk end.I also wonder why Dominos shut down, there has been some nasty rumors why they shut down. There is nothing left in Georgetown for jobs.Everything is closing and not hiring.Looks like alot of people will end up moving out of Georgetown just to find a job. This world is worse then ever.It is sad on how things are going. Its not gone get better looks like its gone get worse.
